Location
Off the Glacier Point Road, about 8 miles east of its intersection of the Wawona Road (Highway 41), and about 45 minutes south of Yosemite Valley or 45 minutes north of Wawona, at 7,200 ft (2,200 m) elevation.

Season
All campsites: approximately July through early September (view this year’s estimated opening and closing dates)

Reservations
Loops A, B, and C: No reservations are available; the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis. $18/night
Group sites: Required and available online up to five months in advance from approximately July through early September. $50/night
Horse sites: Reservations are required up to five months in advance and available only by calling 877/444-6777 from approximately July through early September. $30/night

Campsite Details
Tent or RV sites: 110 with space for RVs up to 35 feet and trailers up to 24 feet
Group sites: 2 (no RVs or trailers allowed)
Horse sites: 3 with space for RVs up to 35 feet and trailers up to 24 feet
Be sure to read the site details when making a reservation on recreation.gov to ensure your equipment will fit into the site you’re reserving. You can also find answers to frequently asked questions about length limits and site types or call the Wawona campground office at 209/375-9535. Each campsite contains a fire ring, picnic table, and food locker [33″(D)x45″(W)x18″(H)], and is near a bathroom with drinking water and flushing toilets. The group sites have six food lockers.

Hookups: No
Dump station: No, but available summer only (on Forest Drive east of the Pioneer Gift & Grocery, formerly Wawona Store) and all year in Yosemite Valley (in Upper Pines Campground)

Services
Groceries: Yosemite Valley (Yosemite Village Store; Half Dome Village Store, formerly Curry Village Store; Yosemite Valley Lodge Store, formerly Yosemite Lodge Store) and small grocery store in Wawona
Showers: Yosemite Valley (Half Dome Village, formerly Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp)

Regulations
Pets: Permitted (except in group and horse sites; must be on a leash at all times)
Fires: Wood and charcoal fires are permitted.
People per site: A maximum of six people (including children) are allowed per campsite, except for the group site, which requires 13 to 30 people. There is no limit on the number of tents (as long as they all fit into the campsite).
