Overview
This 1964 boxcar is located on what was known as the Golden Chain Highway, now Highway 49 named after the 49ers who came seeking their fortune. Just a short drive to Yosemite National Park and nestled in the foothills of a California gold rush town, the boxcar is a part of the Vacation Station, a decommissioned train that has been lovingly converted into a vacation rental.
The Boxcar is like an apartment. The main entrance opens into the living/kitchenette area. There is also a private bedroom (with an additional door to the outside) and a full bathroom (also with an additional door to the outside). The living area has a queen size fold out couch, two twin bunk beds, a Roku Smart TV, a desk with a chair and a full kitchenette with a dining table. We have provided everything you will need to live, cook and play while you stay.
