Mariposa County Clerk’s Office

Marriage Licenses are obtained at the Mariposa County Clerk’s office in the Hall of Records (across the street from the Court House). The hourse are 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday, closed on Holidays. Both parties must be present to apply, and will be required to have two pieces of identification, including one photo ID. If either party has been married and divorced previously, he or she must give the date of divorce. If the divorce was finalized within the past twelve months, then a copy of the dissolution decree must be presented.
