Formed by glaciers over centuries, Yosemite is a playground for waterfall enthusiasts. Nowhere in the world is there a concentration of major waterfalls. Ribbon and Upper Yosemite (pictured above) rank up there with the best the world has to offer, and Yosemite, along with Bridalveil and Vernal, are among the best known. From almost any point on the valley floor visitors can see at least one waterfall. El Capitan Falls drops 1,400 feet and often blows entirely away before reaching the bottom.
