Most visitors come to Yosemite via private automobile. Since Yosemite National Park covers such a large area of land, there are four main highways (or, “gateways”) that will lead you into Yosemite:

• Highway 140 (from Merced)
• Highway 41 (from Fresno)
• Highway  132
• Highway 120
