Mariposa Grove

If you have already seen Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point (or even if you haven’t seen them yet), make time to see the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. The Grove is located near the park’s south entrance from Highway 41. This magnificent stand of sequoias is Yosemite’s largest and includes tree thousands of years old.

A tram system transports visitors into the grove for a fee (from May to October), or you may enter on foot. A small museum is open during the summer, and be sure to visit the famous trees like the Grizzly Giant and the fallen Tunnel Tree!
